  where do i begin?

  i can't believe i'm even here...i am a 20 year old female and have been dating a jehovah's witness for 4 and 1/2 years.

  until recently, we've been completely and utterly devoted to each other.

  Good responses from everyone...but your last post said it all. If he's not willing to be with you when you are going thru surgery why continue? He's pulling away for sure. I'm sorry you're going thru this, I can totally relate to what you are going through.

  It is time to take a step back for your sake. You can take everything into account in your life & decide what YOU need to do. He's clearly made his decision. I'm sorry, but don't let him manipulate you anymore. He needs time?? Whatever...get up, brush yourself off, and chalk this up to experience.

  I hope you do well in your surgery, and again, I'm sorry you're going thru this.

  Hey... We're home!

  i took evelyne a copy of everyones wonderful thoughts... she cried more than once.

  so, she saw the specialist just after lunch time.

  it looks like, after 3 liters of iv, she has gone from 4.7 to 14!

  How do I know when it's love....

  i don't post a lot about my personal life here anymore but i have a situation that i'd like some feedback on.. i have been dating a for about 5 months.

  she is a university professor, originally from madrid spain, speaks 3 languages, quite an interesting and intelligent lady.

  however, i have also come to find that she is very insecure and somewhat childish emotionally.. she has brought up marriage several times, and i have tried to keep her at bay on this subject, as i just don't know if the relationship has that kind of feeling or not.. the problem is, i don't know what that feeling is supposed to be.

  Agreed, if you are relieved that she left and you feel a weight has been lifted, then you do not need to think any further. It sounds to me like she's looking for someone to take the place of her dad.

  Do not be with her just for the sake of her mental well being. If you aren't happy now, you won't be happy later.

  My wife is in the hospital

  i just wanted to let you know that my wife was admitted today to the hospital.

  as you know she is 32 weeks pregnant with our son and unfortuanely, is very low on amniotic fluid.

  scully's happy easter got me thinking about easter baskets and easter candy.

  those cadbury eggs are just the best, like a pure jolt of sugar and the fake yolk and white is just too cool.

  The best part about Easter is coloring the eggs then hiding them. My 4 year old should get more of a thrill out of it this year. As far as candy?? I'm with the majority...chocolate!!

  Update on my disassociation

  i went to the kingdom hall for the very last time.

  i went in the door in my guns n roses t-shirt and ripped up lucky jeans, new earrings and goatee.

  i went up to the po of the congregation and told him i needed to talk to him.

  WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE TERRI SCHIAVO CASE?

  there is apparently no chance at all of her ever recovering from her present state, but do you think she should live or die?

  for myself, i think she's better off dead than living---no, existing---in her present state.

  i for one, have instructed my family to let me die if something like this ever happened to me.

  Lets hope that's true...

  My 6month old niece was born with severe brain damage. There was hope, then there was none, then there was hope again. It was never determined exactly what was wrong with her, but one Sunday she lapsed into a irreversable coma. After every doctor told my brother and his wife there was no hope, they made the choice to "just let her go". It was the most painful decision I dare say they've ever had to make. They removed the feeding tube (that she'd had since about 2month of age) and she died about a day later. Her body just shut down. There was no recognition, no emotions nothing. In fact, her eyes had been shut since it was determined she slipped into the coma. She opened them for the first time since the moment she passed. My brother and his wife, up until then, had done EVERYTHING they could do to determine what happened and what could they expect. She didn't suffer, she was gone a week before she actually passed on.

  I hope that Terri's parents know what their daughter wants, and do what is right by her. It's not an easy decision, but they must think of HER and what's best for her. It's very hard, but if it's in HER best interest to "just let her go" they should.

  i worked with her for over a year, got hurt on the job and was recovering for about 5 months.

  Mexican JWs are particularly strict, and their family unity is virtually impossible to crack

  Truer words were never spoken. Having been there, done that, all I can offer you is to tell her the truth, as you've been advised. Guilt is a major factor and the fear of losing one's family is another. Talk first, find out if she's serious & understands what her choices will affect in her life.
